Today I am going to be replacing the MAF the mass airflow sensor on a BMW x3 2006. I did it’s just it’s right out in the open you literally have one screw like a quarter or three or four millimeter not to loosen all. Loosen the clamp, remove the loosened enough and then you just have Clips one clip on either side from the air cleaner.
Use a slotted screwdriver or a cap off alright and then just release those clips, pop that clip you go clips off that’s released. Remove the connector there is a little clip on the top. I just had to loosen it just kind of seated in and the F out takes a twenty seconds, I might save that and clean it just for the hell of it.
Let’s get the caps off the sink one, it looks the same seat it on this side get that thing in there did. I drop the o-ring novo ring still in there, if you replace the o-ring, something goes right back in that. Pop the clips one-handed connector goes back in that’s locked, we’ll just reverse my tool tighten the clamp. Clamps tight that’s it as easy as you’re going to get on the car. Leave the old one just clean that just for the hell of it. Now next thing is I’m going to reset the check engine light and the only I don’t have the tool somebody ripped off my old code computer.
